‘The Good Wife’ season 5 spoilers: Will Peter cheat again? A hint in first promo

With us nearing the start of “The Good Wife” season 5’s premiere on Sunday, September 29, CBS is wasting no time when it comes to kicking off their promotional push with our first promo video featuring actual footage.  Based on what we are seeing so far, we imagine that we are in for quite a bit of entertainment over the rest of the fall.

If you remember back to the end of last season, there were two main events that captured out attention: Peter winning the election (albeit via some controversial measures), and Alicia and Cary making the decision to separate from Lockhart Gardner, and try to form their own powerhouse firm to kick some serious butt.

While the success of this new business is still very much to be determined, the first promo for the season below does make it clear that Peter is going to have a very difficult time avoiding some of his old temptations while in office. For example, he has himself a woman that will surely test whether or not he really wants to be faithful. The needle is not exactly pointing up when it comes to our overall trust level for this guy at the moment. All you have to do to gauge whether or not he will be good to his word is see what he’s done so far, and that is not exactly a winning track record.
