2013 MTV VMAs: Taylor Swift, 30 Seconds to Mars, Selena Gomez among winners

The announcement -In our 2013 MTV Videos Music Awards coverage so far, we have written about a myriad of things that include performances, Miley Cyrus dancing around with oversized teddy bears, and also Lady Gaga basically showing off the complete evolution of her performances so far.

But what this article is really all about is the individual winners of the show, which include everyone from country artists to rock stars. It was also clear pretty early on during the night that this was going to be a rather big one for Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, who have taken the music scene by storm.

Best Female Video – Taylor Swift, “I Knew You Were Trouble.” (Can we just take a moment to comment on how much Taylor is verging on self-parody by thanking the guy who inspired this song in her speech?)
