‘The Walking Dead’: Norman Reedus to release photography book with Andrew Lincoln foreword

Norman Reedus -Norman Reedus has long been passionate about photography and art. If you follow his Twitter account, then you may already know a thing or two about just how passionate he is on the subject. Therefore, finding out today that the star of “The Walking Dead” is set to release a new book featuring some of the photographs that he has taken during his travels around the world over the past 15 years is not too much of a shocker (and a pleasant surprise!)

According to The Hollywood Reporter (who also has some samples of his work), this book is going to be entitled The Sun’s Coming Up … Like a Big Bald Head, which is a name that is distinctly Norman. Some of the photos are picturesque, some are rather grotesque, but all echo out his vision into the world. Just check out what he has to say about them below:

“[The photos are] through my eyes, like my interpretation of what my surroundings were at certain times — so some of the photos are from a John Carpenter film that I worked on and he builds these insane worlds and crazy characters and I sort of kidnapped a few of those people and took them on a little journey of my own. One in particular I sort of destroyed a trailer — I covered it in blood and I don’t think they were very happy about that! But the photos are different things that I saw and of put my own little personal tweak on them.”

This book will contain forewords from the likes of Reedus’ co-star Andrew Lincoln as well as Debbie Harry from Blondie, and it is appropriately being released in October, the same month that “The Walking Dead” season 4 premieres on AMC. It’s also perfectly-timed for the holiday season, for those of you who want a little piece of Norman’s brain (no, not literally) under your Christmas tree.
