‘The Vampire Diaries’: New shots of Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev, and more

“The Vampire Diaries” has been glamorous with their promotional photos on many occasions in the past, but even with that in mind, some of the newest shots courtesy of The CW still take the cake when it comes to giving you a very glamorous look at some of the characters.

These images were first unearthed by SpoilerTV, and they are actually from season 4 and were likely discovered in promotion of the show’s DVD. However, they are very different than some of the other images that are out there. For example, just look at the first sleek image of Stefan, Damon, and Elena. Did you ever imagine that Ian Somerhalder’s character would be sporting a pink tie? We’re still somewhat shocked by it.

Also, the glamorous images here of Caroline and Dr. Fell are also somewhat surprising, given that they do in many ways go against what we think about their characters. We still find it interesting that Torrey DeVitto even took part in the photo shoot for last season to begin with, given how much “Army Wives” and “Pretty Little Liars” really limited her ability to appear on a regular basis. (We also don’t know how much she will be appearing in season 5, and there’s also that sad news about her Paul Wesley getting a divorce.)

The cast of “The Vampire Diaries” has already taken part in their photo shoot for the upcoming fifth season, but these images still have not been released to the public. Will that change? In due time, it definitely will. The waiting game right now is merely to get closer to the show coming back on October 3 to release them, given that the last thing you want to do is have them get people excited now, and then they forget to watch a little bit later.
