ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6 spoilers: More details on Nathan Fillion, ‘Number One Fan’
When we reported yesterday that the upcoming hostage negotiation episode of “Castle” was going to be entitled “Number One Fan,” we had some bizarre flashbacks to cheesy stalker movies of old, but there was not verification that this was really going to be about someone creeping all over Nathan Fillion’s character … at least until now.
In an interview with Give Me My Remote that really connects the dots, executive producer Andrew Marlowe described the story of this episode, which we now know features an appearance from Billy Miller of “The Young and the Restless”:
“We have a case where Castle is enlisted in a hostage crisis as a negotiator because the woman doesn’t trust police and she’s kind of his number one fan … So he’s sent in to help resolve the situation with hilarious and dramatic results.”
As for who this woman is, we’ve reported already that she is going to be played by Alicia Lagano of “The Client List.” This is not going to be one of the first couple episodes of the season, which means that it’s possible that Beckett could either be back in New York at this time (if she went to Washington in the first place), or she could still be in a city far away. Either way, it’s not altogether likely that she is going to be able to help Castle in this situation, since he will be forced instead to rely on more of his own instincts and what he has learned over the years.
“Castle” season 6 premieres on ABC come Monday, September 23 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time. Want to read some more news? We’ve got more at the link here all about the precinct receiving someone who pretends to be a “visitor from the future” a little later on this season.
