‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5 spoilers: Will Kat Graham’s Bonnie be dead forever?
If there is one thing that every fan of “The Vampire Diaries” should know by now, it’s that death does not mean that your work on the show ends. Just ask Matt Davis (Alaric), Sara Canning (Jenna), and now, Kat Graham (Bonnie). The witch basically exchanged her own life for Jeremy’s during the end of the show’s fourth season, and she now has to live with the fact that she is … well, not living.
But, there is no reason to fear! Bonnie will still be a huge part of the show, though her conversations will be only with Jeremy right away as he is the only person capable of seeing her and talking with her. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, she suggested that this experience would end up bringing these two characters much closer together in the end:
“She loves her friends and family and she can’t connect to them, and it creates an intimacy relying on one person as your connection to the one thing that matters the most to you. It’s a really beautiful thing to see. She only has him (Jeremy) at this point.”
But, the real question on everyone’s mind is this: Is there any way in which Bonnie could return to the world of the living? Graham was coy (mostly because she didn’t know an answer), but she gave a rather hilarious bit of speculation suggesting that she could eventually bring out some popular witch cliches:
“I could wind up coming back alive or float away, I don’t know … They could finally introduce a broomstick and [have me flying off on that].”
