‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 6 spoilers: Ron Perlman’s Clay on an island in new trailer
While “Sons of Anarchy” may still be the story of Jax Teller first and foremost, the new trailer released by FX almost places some other characters on a similar level. As you likely guessed, Ron Perlman’s Clay is not going to be on a physical island when the show starts, but he could very much be on an emotional one. He’s going to be alone in prison, with no one to keep him company save for Lee Toric. When you remember just how ruthless a character Donal Logue is playing here (just ask Otto’s tongue), you have your proof that this is not going to be an easy year for him.
Meanwhile, the same can be said for Tara, who is also behind bars and facing fears that her family won’t see her anytime soon. Jax promises that she will be out “soon,” but how can he really guarantee that?
Save for these two emotional prison-centered storylines, there is going to be some of the same action and gritty violence this year as you would come to expect. Jax is going to be feeling more consequences than ever that come with being at the head of the table, but he’s not going to be the only person going through hard times. Just as Juice or even Nero, who was clearly not successful at getting out of this life since the last time we checked in on him. The character’s loss, though, is easily our gain, given that this may be our favorite Jimmy Smits role of the past decade.
