ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6 spoilers: Seamus Dever on a different Ryan

While there is a bevy of information and debate out there when it comes to Castle and Beckett, why isn’t there more “Castle” season 6 scoop out there on Ryan? Seamus Dever’s character got some big news earlier this year that his wife is having a baby, and this is going to change the way that he thinks about not only everyone else in his life, but also a little something known as his job on the force.

So do you think that this is going to be a guy who is really going to be as willing to put his life on the line all of the time? This is exactly what Dever spoke about recently in a chat with TV Guide, where he tried to look at just about everything that will be popping up with his character moving forward:

“You’re going to see a lot of choices that Ryan is going to make [about] how he feels about being a cop at this point … We’re going to see him be a little uncomfortable with being in the line of fire and being in danger’s way. It’s also going to affect his relationship with Esposito.”

Potentially, this means no more late-night trips to the bar, which they have done so many times in the past. These two have been on the same page for most of the show’s run, with a few bumps in the radar here and there, but having children changes things. Your schedule changes, your energy level definitely changes, and you have to figure out what you want to do with what little screen time you really have left.
