‘The Bachelor’: Juan Pablo Galavis was ‘easy’ choice to follow Desiree Hartsock

While “The Bachelor” has sometimes taken many months in order to figure out who they want to have handing out roses for their next crop of ladies, seeing Juan Pablo Galavis take the lead was almost a no-brainer. This is why for the first time since the beginning of “Bachelor Pad,” the show chose to actually reveal their next leading man during the “After the Final Rose” special. It was literally that quickly that they realized that there was enough support behind him to have him in the role, even though he was virtually a non-factor throughout Desiree Hartsock’s season of “The Bachelorette” just when it comes to airtime.

If you want some more insight into how quick this decision was from a production standpoint, you don’t have to look any further than seeing what Chris Harrison had to say in an interview with Entertainment Weekly:

“That was about the easiest decision we’ve ever made. There was such a huge groundswell of support for this man there’s no way we couldn’t make him our Bachelor. I really like Juan Pablo as I got to know him very well during our travels last season. He’s a very good man and an excellent father who deserves to find an amazing woman, and I’ll do my best to make that happen.”

We cannot imagine that there will be any problem finding women hoping to meet a guy like Juan Pablo, especially given that there is so much time now in between the show’s production start in the fall and where we are now. He is also the first-ever “Bachelor” of a minority, which also presents a nice opportunity to see some other sort of culture on the show.
