Widow’s Bay season 2 premiere date: The best-case scenario

We know that Widow’s Bay season 2 is coming to Apple TV and with that, why not talk more about potential return dates?

As great as it would be to come in here with a magic wand, we do have to be reasonably realistic here. By virtue of that, it is bonkers to assume that we will be getting another chapter of the show in the relatively near future, as in the next 10-12 months. This is a streaming service that never seems to be eager to rush anything along, and will almost always prefer giving the creative team the time and space to come up with something new.

Now, here comes the tricky thing: You want to still that while also still trying to strike while the iron is hot. The first season has built up so much steam and momentum that sidelining the show for a couple of years feels like a mistake. Also, it is not doing hour-long episodes like Severance or Pluribus. If there are visual effects here, they are smaller and therefore easier to put together.

From where we currently sit (and knowing what we do about production timelines), the best-case scenario for Widow’s Bay season 2 would be seeing it either in the summer or fall of next year. By no guarantee does this mean it will happen but for now, it at least feels like something to put on your metaphorical TV calendar with excitement all around it. In the interim we hope we get some teases here and there but simultaneously, one of the things that was so great about season 1 was how it managed to keep so much of the story and/or major events hidden until they aired.
