‘Hart of Dixie’ season 3 spoilers: ‘Dexter’ alum Bluebell’s latest fish out of water
When “Hart of Dixie” first started two years ago, one of its major selling points was the idea of seeing this New York doctor in Zoe Hart trying to adapt to life in a much simpler place than what she was used to; now, we’re going to be getting this idea all over again courtesy of a brand-new addition to the tiny Alabama town.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Josh Cooke, who best known for playing lab intern Louis Greene on “Dexter” for 2 seasons, is being brought in now to the CW dramedy to play the part of Joel, a New Yorker who finds himself in a very bizarre situation in the town. He is one of several new characters inhabiting the world of the show this year, and there will be some interest in seeing just how the fish-out-of-water situation happens from a male perspective.
There are some interesting storylines that we expect to unfold pretty quickly when the series picks back up, including just what will happen with Zoe upon her arrival back to the town, if she is going to choose to be with George, Wade, Jonah, some random dude on the street, or anyone else, and how the show will handle the temporary exit of Lemon thanks to Jaime King’s pregnancy. She may have a couple of episodes this fall, but we expect that to be about it.
What do you think about this news, and can you imagine Cooke sending George or Wade a hand in the mail? (“Dexter” humor, for non-fans.) We’ve got some more dish on Jaime King’s pregnancy and more, and you just have to click here if you are interested in seeing it.
