‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10: Sara Ramirez the latest to join the Twitter revolution

If we were a celebrity, we could understand the apprehension that comes from being on Twitter. If you’re just using it to promote some things, it’s a nice little resource to have from time to time. However, if you actually want to interact, it becomes somewhat more daunting to go online and look at your mentions, only to discover that your day is ruined when someone calls you a bunch of terrible names. (“jerkbag” is our example, mostly because this is a family site. Real trolls are much meaner than this.)

However, we are starting to see more and more TV stars take the great leap forward into the unknown, especially when it comes to folks from the Shonda Rhimes – “Grey’s Anatomy” family. Ellen Pompeo did so earlier this year, and we were not quite sure that this would ever happen. We had said the same thing about Sara Ramirez, who was frequently requested by so many since her onscreen wife Jessica Capshaw is already present online.

Sara’s account is pretty easy to find (mostly since it is just her name), and her first tweet is very much appropriate:

“So excited to be on twitter!! Prepping for the 10th season of @GreysABC to share with all of you!”

For those keeping tabs, the longtime series regulars who are still shying away from the Twitterverse include Justin Chambers (Alex), Chandra Wilson (Bailey), and Sandra Oh (Cristina). It’s possible in theory that these three could be on at some point, but Justin doesn’t really look like the kind of guy who would enjoy social media much.
