NBC’s ‘Community’ season 5: Watch the full fan appreciation video
While you may have already had an opportunity to say “pop, pop!” over the “Community” Comic-Con panel, there is one other lovely nugget of goodness that you may not have seen yet: The fan appreciation video that played while the fans in the massive Hall H waited for the arrival of Dan Harmon and some of the show’s stars. (Yes, this is probably the only show that we would ever introduce with the showrunner prior to any person actually currently starring on the show.)
So what does this video basically consist of? It starts off featuring Joel McHale talking about what the show means, and then goes into a series of highlights from all of the four seasons. Yes, there are highlights from the fourth season, too, so quiet with your snarky comments. What will really get your tear ducts going, though, is the footage of everything that the fans have done to support Greendale in every way: The flash mobs, the protests, the Twitter campaigns, and so much more. These fans are an active bunch, and they are also ones that are showing time and time again that they have no desire to ever give up on Six Seasons and a Movie.
As crazy as an idea as this mantra seemed perhaps at the end of season 3, look where we are now: Just one season away from the goal. The video ends with celebratory messages from the cast saying that we are just one season away, and if the viewers return with Harmon, and they all watch live, we think that NBC could really bite on this. For one, just think about the great respect they would get from the fans.
Of course, we get it if you actually want to know some of what’s actually coming up on “Community” season 5; luckily, we have you covered courtesy of the story here, which lays much of it out (or at least what has been revealed).
