Adam Lambert talks ‘Glee’ season 5, Cory Monteith’s passing, performing with Queen

Glee

To think, at this point a week ago the biggest news regarding “Glee” season 5 was that Adam Lambert was going to be doing a multi-episode arc of some sort. Now, that news (and all others really related to casting and the show’s story) have fallen by the wayside in favor of stories all about the tragedy of Cory Monteith’s death.

With that, there is still some uncertainty surrounding where Fox decides to go next with the show. In an interview with Ryan Seacrest below, Adam confirms that he had one meeting with Ryan Murphy to talk about a part, but the two did not fully make it clear just what role he was going to be playing or when this part was going to begin.

Also, he made it clear just how great of an impact Monteith’s death was having on the series already:

“I don’t know when I start, but I’m so excited and of course this weekend was tragic news, so that might put a spin on things … the cast and myself can hopefully honor Cory’s memory somehow and I’m sure they’ll find a tasteful way to do so.”

In addition to addressing the show, Adam also talked a bit about his reunion with Queen (who he toured briefly with last summer) for the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas a little later this year, and how big of an honor it is to still perform with them. Also, he teased how he is hoping that his next album allows him to stay true to most of his rock roots.

Of course, we will have more about “Glee” and Adam’s appearance on the show when it becomes available. If you do want to read some more news about current rumors over the start of season 5 production, be sure to visit the link here.
