Survivor 51 premiere date confirmed at CBS

For everyone out there who has been wondering when you would get to see Survivor 51 premiere at CBS, let’s just say we have good news!

Today, the folks at the network officially confirmed that the Jeff Probst hosted reality competition show is going to be back starting on Wednesday, September 23 with an epic two-hour premiere. The network has not officially said much about the season yet, other than the fact that we are entering yet another new era of the game where any and all advantages from the past could return at any point.

So why are they so reliant on these twists right now? Well, the simple answer just comes down to the fact that they do not have a lot of other flexibility when it comes to filming locations like they did in the early going. They have to rely more on twists and yet, why not market the show with a different subtitle or theme? There are some other ways that they could choose to go about this and yet, they are not clearly moving in that direction.

Now that the premiere date is set, we would say (at least for now) that the plan is likely to do a big Survivor 51 cast reveal at some point either in late August or early September. There are going to be all-new players once more and while we do think they will eventually bring some people back, we have not arrived at the point yet. We do still think, though, that it is going to happen a little bit earlier than season 60. It is just another thing to look forward to and/or be aware of as of right now.
