Chicago Med season 12 spoilers: What’s next for Dean, Hannah?
As we wait over the coming months to see Chicago Med season 12 arrive on NBC, of course it makes sense to dive into romances! Or, in particular, we mean the romance that is very-much present here between Dean Archer and Hannah Asher.
Has there been a lot of bumps in the road? Absolutely, and they are far from a typical couple — though technically, they are not really a couple at all. We do still feel like the end of last season leaves the door open to that, as they are not parents and there was a genuine confession of love there.

Speaking to TV Insider, Jessy Schram herself indicates that there is a lot of love that is there and while she has not said “I love you,” she did give him a kiss:
“I think it’s very clear they definitely love each other. I think Hannah needs a moment to sort what that means, but the feelings are genuine and real when she does kiss him … She literally says the moment before that she didn’t have any space to think about this. This was not something that she could deal with. And so it was very important that this wasn’t a rash decision that she makes to kiss him or to shut him up or try and move on, or now all of a sudden her heart’s just exploding. I think it was a very, very conscious, very beautiful, very loving choice to kiss him, but she also is living in the moment of all of the emotions of the baby being born in the family that they have, but is also confused as to what that means and what that looks like. I think that it’s by no means the declaration of, ‘Everything is great,’ and it’s by no means the declaration of, ‘OK, I’m going to kiss you and then ghost you tomorrow.’”
We do think that this absolutely sets up what should be some great stories moving into the next Chicago Med chapter, and we recognize fully that this is a relationship that fans have been hoping to see more of for some time. Now, the stage is fully set and within that, we just have to wait for the exact result.
