Big Brother 28 live feed spoilers: Who won Veto, week 1?

Today marked the first official Power of Veto Competition within the Big Brother 28 house — so who ended up emerging as the winner?
The first thing that we do have to do within this piece is set the table to a certain extent. Dee won Head of Household and last night, she nominated the trio of Mallory, Yash, and Taylor. The easiest target is Mallory, mostly because even her own friends in Melody / Lyric have distanced themselves from her. There could be a push towards Yash over time, but the Veto today obviously shapes a lot of what is going to happen.

So what ended up happening here? Well, Mallory ended up winning the Veto! She stepped up when she needed it the most and by virtue of that, almost the entire week now gets thrown into chaos. She will certainly save herself and now, Dee has to determine a new target. Yash may still be an easy mark, mostly because of the fact that she’s not aligned with him. Melody is also an easy replacement, even though Drew is getting closer to her and Dee is working with him. Some people are going to be picked off from the main group of Dee / Drew / Devens / Angela / Barrett, but is this the right time to do this?
For the record, we know that Kamu and Haley have also been circled the idea of either Barrett or Rome, but it will be harder in order to ensure they go up. This is a week that now becomes how, if you are Dee, you anger the fewest amount of people possible.
