NCIS season 24 premiere date: A July 2026 update

Is there any chance that we are going to hear about an NCIS season 24 premiere date between now and the end of July? Make no mistake that we would be more than a little bit happy to have it, especially when you look at the most important factor here: History.
Over the years, the general trend has been to get launch dates for the bulk of CBS’ shows around the middle of July, at least for the ones that are starting this fall. From where we stand at present, there is little to no reason to think they are about to do anything different. Just remember here that they can spend the months of July, August, and most of September working to actually promote what lies ahead.

What we are saying here is that a premiere-date reveal for NCIS this month feels inevitable and at this point, we are more than excited for what is ahead. We know that there are a lot of potential stories for the next chapter of the show, which is slated to start either in late September or early October per most estimates.
In a lot of ways, we do view season 24 as a great unknown — it remains to be seen who will be the new Director and beyond just that, how the characters will adapt to the death of Leon Vance in the long-term. Also, in the wake of the news that Mark Harmon will be on-screen throughout much of NCIS: Origins season 3, is there any chance that we could see more of him here? That is something we are so curious to learn a little bit more about in due time.
