Big Brother 28 confirmed as ‘time trip’ — returnees incoming?
With the premiere of Big Brother 28 coming to CBS in a little over a week, why not share something more about what is ahead?
First and foremost, let’s just start off here by noting that we do have a sense now as to what the theme of the season will be thanks to the words “Time Trip.” The producers are looking to implement time travel into how events in the house play out, and we are already seeing via the house design that multiple eras of history are being shown off in one way or another.

In a statement, here is how CBS is describing what lies ahead in a general sense:
BIG BROTHER unveils “BIG BROTHER: Time Trip” as the season 28 theme, turning time into the ultimate twist. Houseguests will enter a world where rooms, relics and competitions transport them across moments in time, while early twists shake up the game from the start. Inspired by decades like the ’80s and Y2K, new powers and challenges can disrupt strategy and alliances. The season kicks off with a special 90-minute premiere on Thursday, July 9 (8:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT). Host Julie Chen Moonves returns to guide viewers through a season where history is rewritten and anything is possible.
As for the cast…
It is very-much curious how nobody is saying that there are entirely all-new players, and if you read the tea leaves, it seems like there will be some sort of returnee element to the show. However, what that is remains to be seen. A cast reveal is likely coming early next week but even then, there is no guarantee that we are going to get to see everyone! Producers may be saving a few things for premiere night.
