Not Suitable for Work season 2: Is it renewed, canceled at Hulu?

Following the big finale today on Hulu, is there a chance that a Not Suitable for Work season 2 ends up happening? Or, have we reached the end of the line?

First and foremost, we will note that because there are a million different shows out there at any given time, there is a chance that you may not have heard that much about this one yet. Let’s just start by sharing some of the official details courtesy of the streaming service:

From comedy hitmaker Mindy Kaling, “Not Suitable for Work” centers on five work-obsessed 20-somethings striving for professional success and, if they have time, personal happiness in Manhattan’s most glamorous neighborhood, Murray Hill.

Obviously, there is a long and storied history of comedies set in New York City, with Friends being a somewhat more obvious comparison here than Seinfeld. Of course, the difference is that Not Suitable for Work is more career-focused and beyond that, does not have the luxury of actually being on network TV. Kaling does have a history of working on successful shows, and it obviously would make a reasonable amount of sense for this one to last for a few seasons at least.

However, at the time of this writing nothing is confirmed one way or another and realistically, we could be waiting for a few weeks or even a few months to get some answers. In the interim, the biggest thing we can say is if you want to see a second season happen at some point down the road, our advice here is to recommend it to as many of your friends as possible. Viewership matters and beyond just that, so does the entirety of the audience checking out everything here the whole way through.
