The Vampire Lestat season 3 episode 4: Louis’ emotional state

It feels fair to say that almost everything in The Vampire Lestat season 3 episode 3 was emotionally devastating. With that in mind, a central question now rises from the metaphorical ashes — where does the story go from here? How do you top what we have already seen?

Well, from where we currently sit, we do tend to think that a good bit is going to be tied to how characters recover from the traumas of the past — and also if they can find a way to cope. We do hope that Lestat has started to let go of some of his past demons based on what we have seen already. As for Louis, however, there is a chance that it all could be a little bit more complicated. He may have taken out Bruce, but is he really that happy with the end result?

Speaking via IGN about the subject of Louis’ revenge, here is what showrunner Rolin Jones had to say:

“We knew how this scene would go, and we knew very instinctively that it needed to be a dissatisfying thing … It was not going to be the fulfillment that he thought it would be.”

In the end, this is why Louis may have opted to return to Regina, the lookalike to Claudia who works at a diner. If killing Bruce did not offer him any piece, will being around this woman? Or, is he trying to put a bandage on a far larger problem? These are at least some of the things that for now, he is going to have to work in order to figure out.
