Power Book III: Raising Kanan season 5 episode 3 preview: After Unique

There is a lot to say about Power Book III: Raising Kanan season 5 episode 3 airing next week, but can we start with a discussion all about Unique? After all, this is a guy who managed to do something that is rare with characters in this franchise: Actually get out.

Is that really it for him? That remains to be seen, but there is something rather noteworthy about a guy who can see the writing on the wall and by virtue of that, decide that it is better to dip out than get himself killed. This means that the show is populated with one less person, and we could be witnessing a showdown with Raq and Marvin in one corner and then Kanan and Breeze in the other. Sure, we know who wins out judging from where everyone is in the flagship show, but how do they get there? That’s at least where some mystery lies at present.

In general, our feeling  is that there will be more death and/or destruction within this world in due time, but does it have to be hurried along? Hardly. We do not imagine that the producers are going to keep things going at the same clip that they are right now, one in which we are losing a major character in some capacity every single week. We are fine to slow things down a little for now, mostly recognizing that we will be building towards some crazier stuff later on.
