Widow’s Bay season 2: Matthew Rhys looks ahead

We have officially made it to the other side now of the Widow’s Bay season 1 finale, and is it crazy to say that we are missing the series already? This is a direct result of everything awesome that the first season brought to the table, especially when it comes to near-constant twists and turns. It has certainly done enough to leave us eager to see what is coming up next, even if we are going to wait for a little while to learn what is ahead.
So does the cast know what lies ahead for Tom and the other characters in the town? Hardly. Not only that, but star Matthew Rhys is hesitant to even spend that much time making predictions!

Speaking to Variety, the actor (and likely Emmy nominee for the role) had the following to say when asked if he has any predictions for what is ahead:
I don’t. I’ve been asked, “What do you think?” And I said, “I have no idea how this is going to unfold!” This is why I don’t write, because I’m like, “What are they gonna do?” Not just me — Kevin Carroll’s character with his child. Everyone! What they’ve done is loaded the bases, to use an American analogy I know nothing of. Everyone has a high stakes cliffhanger. I don’t know how they’re gonna deal with their food, let alone Tom! It’s gonna be crazy.
For Tom, the obvious challenge is what he is going to do now that he has the information about his son being the last (presumed) descendant of Richard Warren. This is a hard thing for almost anyone to wrap their head around and yet, he now has to figure out whether or not to tell Evan what he knows.
