The Way Home season 4 episode 9: Is Elliot dead?
Given that The Way Home season 4 episode 9 is the last one leading into the series finale, of course we expected there to be some jaw-droppers. Yet, the potential death of Elliot? That’s not something that we ever imagined.
Also, for the record, we’re still in denial about the possibility. This is a Hallmark show! How could they be this bleak so close to the end of the series?

From where we stand right now, we are still of the belief that something can be done in order to change things. Yet, there are a lot of clues foreshadowing that something like this could happen, including everything with Fern and Tessa in the past. We know that Kat makes it out alive, but Elliot? Still a mystery.
As for what the finale could be about…
If Elliot is gone, is there a way then to bring him back? We do recognize that the Pond comes with its own set of rules, but a big part of the final episode could be about breaking all of them. The preview for what’s ahead certainly tried to suggest that love will always find a way, so there could be answers on this and then a whole lot more.
The only thing we lament is that because of limitations to how many episodes we have this season, everything is going to have to move and move fast. It is really the only way that the show can effectively tie up every single loose end — and heck, there is not even a guarantee at this point they are going to be able to do that!
