Dune: Prophecy season 2 premiere date: A June 2026 update

Is there a chance that we learn more about Dune: Prophecy season 2 between now and the end of June? Of course, it makes some sense for the demand for it to be through the roof! The first season proved to be pretty darn great and beyond that, we have another feature film very much on the way.

As cool as all of this is, this is where we do have to come on here and hand over some of the bad news: It does not seem as though the next chapter will be turning up soon. It may be true that a number of episodes are in post-production at this point, but it is starting to feel more likely that we do not return to the prequel’s world until 2027. After all, it has not been present in some recently HBO sizzle reels, and a lot of buzz for a quicker release has died down. Instead, it seems like we will be getting another season of The Gilded Age before the end of the year.

If we are stuck waiting a little while longer to get more Dune: Prophecy, is that a good move? Well, at the very least, we imagine that it gives everyone more time in order to perfect it. An announcement this month feels extremely unlikely, and we just hope to have a chance to see what is next moving into the first half of the new year.

As we have noted in the past, one of the good things about this show in general is that you do not have to worry about it running out of material. Because it is set so far behind the events of the movies, there is almost unlimited room to fill in some of the cracks.
