House of the Dragon season 3 premiere: The current run time

One week from Sunday you are going to have a chance to see the House of the Dragon season 3 premiere arrive at HBO. So what all can we say about it now?
Well, for starters, it is worth noting that this episode could very-well feature the Battle of the Gullet, one of the most anticipated events from the entirety of Fire & Blood. It is something that we hoped to see at the end of last season and when that didn’t happen, obviously everything changed and the plan shifted over to us seeing it this summer.

So are the network and the producers potentially allotting extra time to deal with this battle, assuming that it is in the premiere? Well, what we can say is that per the newly-released listings from HBO, the first episode is currently set to be 72 minutes total, credits included. That means that we are going to have an opportunity to see a great deal unfold here! It is far from the longest episode of anything the network has put out this year, as the Euphoria series finale was basically a movie. Still, this is a lot of time in order to tell a great story, and we are certainly curious to see what comes from it — and also how it sets the stage for the remainder of the season.
Ultimately, the only thing that we can say is that with season 4 being the last one for the series, we absolutely think that everything needs to move quickly. If it doesn’t, is there any other way we get a satisfying conclusion?
