We have a feeling that just about every scene on The Way Home season 4 episode 9 this weekend is going to be emotional. All things considered, how can it not be?

Just in case you needed a reminder that this is the penultimate episode of the entire series, here it is: On the other side of this story, there is not going to be much left. Sure, we do not imagine that we are going to get answers on everything just yet, but don’t be surprised if the future for characters like Jacob is a little bit clearer. We think it is too much to ask of the series finale to give closure on every single person; by virtue of that, it could be useful to solidify a few things in advance.

If you head over to the official YouTube for the Hallmark Channel now, you can see a sneak preview that does do a good job of setting the stage for what could be coming. Within that, you have Del and Jacob reflecting on decisions that they made in the past, which we imagine could be tied to the letters expressing doubt on the story that they have told. She encourages him not to make any mistakes with Abby, and we do tend to think he is going to do the right thing?

While The Way Home may be a somewhat revolutionary show for this specific cable channel, let’s not forget the fact that it is still Hallmark. We do not think that they are out to depress anyone in the end, though there may be more bumps in the road along the way.
