Widow’s Bay season 1 episode 9: Is there still a Big Bad?
With Widow’s Bay season 1 episode 9 rapidly approaching over on Apple TV, we do recognize that there are many different things to be excited about. There are only two episodes remaining! Doesn’t it make sense that the producers throw as much crazy stuff as humanly possible into those?
The big question that we have at present is tied almost entirely to the end of the last installment, and for good reason. After all, we heard Wyck explicitly say that it’s “not over” when it comes to some of the hauntings in the town … but what in the world does that even mean? It absolutely feels like we’ve intentionally got some big questions regarding who out there could still be wrecking havoc, and it may be tied more into the story of the Boogeyman beyond what it would first seem.

In the end, we tend to think that if that was the real Boogeyman roaming around the town and tormenting Patricia, then someone had to let him out! Remember that they said they basically had to seal the man inside since he was unkillable. This means that there is someone, unless Richard’s death magically broke the concrete seal, who is still out there trying to cause some problems.
Who is it? One idea is that it could be someone tied to Richard in some way. Or, it may be as simple as someone wanting to feed into the craziness of the town, knowing that they do not want more tourists coming into town under almost any circumstance. These are at least the things that we are actively considering right now, and we will see precisely where the story tends to lead.
