House of the Dragon season 3 spoilers: Star on ‘mayhem’ ahead

House of the Dragon season 3 is going to be coming to HBO later this year, and one thing feels very much clear already: There will be chaos. In particular, we are talking about the Battle of the Gullet. This is the seminal event that will take place earlier this season. Also, people will most likely die.

At this point, what we know is that this is an epic battle at sea, there will be dragons, and the scale here will be absolutely massive. This was already an expensive show to make and when you think about that, the bar for this showdown is going to be sky-high. We really hope that the production can live up to it.

Do you want even more hype on what is to come? Well, speaking per Deadline recently, here is what cast member Steve Toussaint had to say:

“People who know the story have been excited and waiting for this particular sea battle … Luckily for me, my character and his son [Alyn of Hull, played by Abubakar Salim], are central to that.

“I don’t know what the budget was, but it was a lot. They built three ships, built two tanks – a wet tank and a dry tank – and then they just squirted lots of water cannons at us. We cut people’s heads off, they poured blood on us, and it’s mayhem.”

We imagine that there was a part of this battle that was an absolutely blast to film but at the same time, it was likely extremely taxing on a number of different ways. How in the world can it not be when you are having to perform these action sequences over and over again?
