Criminal Minds: Evolution season 19 episode 3 video: The questioning

Tomorrow on Paramount+ you are going to have an opportunity to see Criminal Minds: Evolution season 19 episode 3 arrive — so is there anything more that we can say about it now?

Well, first and foremost, this is a season that is clearly taking some nods from The Silence of the Lambs when it comes to how a part of the story is implemented around Elias Voit. We know that the BAU has been using him in order to ensure that they can get more insight on other dangerous criminals … but things are complicated. After all, remember for a moment that he has already contemplated an escape. That informs a part of the story but at the same time, some characters are not going to stop using his backstory to try to figure out more things in the present.

If you head over to Decider right now, you can see a new sneak preview for this episode that features Voit being questioned further about his history with Cyrus, something that did greatly influence his own murderous actions. This is something that we do believe will tie into what seems to be one of the larger narratives of the season: A possible copycat on the loose. If they are really using Elias as an inspiration, then there is a chance that they will have also combed through much of his own past in pursuit of answers in one way or another. For now, this is at least something we should consider — and we just hope that the story will end eventually in some exciting spots.

In the meantime, just remember that there is a lot left to come and with that, there is plenty more room for surprises.
