The Amazing Race 39 premiere date: A June 2026 update

Is there a chance we are going to be hearing something more about The Amazing Race 39 between now and the end of June?

This is of course one of those situations where we can sit here and say that the enthusiasm is out there but really, isn’t that a given at this point? The reality competition show has a dedicated audience, even if it has never been as massive as a Survivor or Big Brother. Because it has been half a year since we last saw it on CBS, this is the time where chatter will be amplified. (Of course, it has been even longer since we’ve seen a season of the Race not populated mostly by reality stars.)

The good news, at least for those unaware, is that we are getting closer to The Amazing Race 39 finally surfacing. CBS has already confirmed that it will be on alongside Survivor this coming fall, and you do not have to worry about that. Instead, we are just waiting for an exact announcement as to whether we see it in late September or early October. That news could come out before the end of the month and if not then, in early July. There is no real reason to wait longer than that, especially since we imagine that the powers-that-be are going to want to use Big Brother this summer to further promote what is ahead.

As for what we want to see on the Race moving forward…

It is really not that complicated. We want a chance to get to know an all-new crop of Racers and beyond just that, also have an opportunity to see them travel to a more diverse number of locales. That was something that proved to be a little frustrating about the Europe-focused season we just had a chance to see.
