Widow’s Bay season 1 episode 8: Could we see Richard again?
As we do get prepared to see Widow’s Bay season 1 episode 8 on Apple TV in just a matter of days, it feels fair to assume that we’ve seen the end of Richard Warren. After all, isn’t the guy dead, finally, after so many years?
Well, the simple answer to this question is yes, but within the world of this show, we’re not altogether sure that anything is that certain. We have seen it employ so many twists and turns over the past few weeks, and isn’t there always the chance he at least turns up in dream sequences or the like?

Well, for now, we can at least say that Hamish Linklater would be more than happy to come back in this role if asked. Speaking TechRadar, he confirms that he has spoken to creator Katie Dippold about whatever could be next:
“I’ve spoken to her about what the future might be … [But] she hasn’t spoken back to me about what the future of the show will be.
“My guess is that’s the end of his his [Warren’s] story. But, you know, I did [FX TV show] Legion and its creators appeared to kill me off in the first episode, and clearly they ran out of story ideas, so they brought me back to life. Maybe Katie will run out of story ideas, too, and have to bring me back!”
Personally, we would be shocked to see Richard again in episode 8, let alone the rest of the season. However, we would never rule out anything beyond that and while a season 2 may not be confirmed as of yet, we are reasonably confident it is going to happen.
