MobLand season 2 premiere date: Impact of Tom Hardy reports

For those who may not have heard already, it appears as though some big changes could be coming to the world of MobLand. After all, there are reports that series star Tom Hardy could be departing at the conclusion of the season, which does put the series in a pretty complicated spot moving into a possible season 3.

Before we continue, this is where we should note that Paramount+ has yet to confirm Hardy’s exit, so anything could transpire there. For the time being, what we are left to wonder about is rather simple: Does any of this change when we are actually going to get season 2?

Well, for the time being, our general sentiment is that the answer here is no. We see no real reason to think that Paramount will do something different with the show here, especially since there is no reporting out there that suggests that his departure would come during the season, which has already been filmed. If we are stuck waiting longer than expected for MobLand, it is simply due to scheduling needs at the streaming service over anything else.

When are we expecting it to air?

For now, let’s just say that most signs are pointing towards a launch at some point in the late summer or the fall, and that would make a lot of sense as it would give Paramount+ a huge hit while we wait for more of the Yellowstone universe or Landman, which has yet to start production on its third season. There is a chance that this show could be pushed back until the start of next year, but we will have to wait and see what sort of announcements come out in regards to that.
