The Testaments season 2 premiere date hopes over at Hulu

In the wake of the big season 1 finale this week over on Hulu, there is no better time to get into The Testaments season 2. What all is there to say about it?

First and foremost, it makes all the sense in the world to just note that the show is going to be coming back for more. That has already been confirmed and by virtue of that, it is our hope that we are going to be learning even more about the long-term future here sooner rather than later. Some early buzz has suggested that production on the next chapter is going to be kicking off later this year, and that makes us hopeful that a launch next year could be feasible.

In general, we do believe Hulu realizes that there is a good bit of value in getting new episodes of the show out there sooner rather than later — and that there is also little reason for super-long breaks. We are not talking here about a show that requires a lot of visual effects or lengthy post-production. Also, many episodes of the first season were on the shorter side compared to a lot of other dramas out there.

For now, our hope is that The Testaments will return at some point in the spring or summer of next year and if we are lucky, there is more we will be able to share on the subject come wintertime. The faster we do have a chance to get some further scoop on the story or the long-term plans, the better! We at least know that season 1 was wildly successful and because of that, there is a good chance that the show will be around for several years. Showrunner Bruce Miller has noted that there is a multi-year plan here behind the scenes.
