Dexter: Resurrection season 2 premiere date: A May 2026 update
As we do inch closer to the end of May, is there more that can be said regarding Dexter: Resurrection season 2 over at Showtime?
The first thing that we really should do is a little bit of table-setting here for those who have been out of the loop for a while. First and foremost, it is worth noting that filming for the Michael C. Hall drama has been underway for a little while now in New York City, and we know that Dexter Morgan has some pretty significant adversaries this go-around. After all, Brian Cox is going to be appearing as the New York Ripper Don Framt; meanwhile, Dan Stevens will be playing someone known as the Five Borough Killer. That is without even mentioning the possibility that some faces from the past could come back.

Months ago, showrunner Clyde Phillips had expressed a hope that we could see the second season premiere at some point in the fall, and we do hope that this is still the case. However, it is probably a bit unrealistic to sit here and hope that we are going to get more news on that this month. Odds are, the powers-that-be are not going to share a return date here until close to the end of production. After all, why put a date out there when viewers would forget about it by the time the show returns?
Even if we do end up waiting longer than expected to see the next chapter here, we are hoping that Resurrection will continue to be as awesome as it was in season 1. We never expected the revival to be as good as it was, but it did really capture the style and feel of some of the early chapters. By virtue of that, it makes us thoroughly excited for what more could be coming.
