With tonight serving as the big season 1 finale, is there a chance to learn more about a Marshals season 2 premiere date at CBS?

Obviously, the first order of business at this point is very much noting that the Luke Grimes drama is coming back for more. This is information that has been out there for a while but at the same time, there may be some viewers who are not thinking about it that much until now. The Yellowstone spin-off has managed to get off to a great start in the ratings and while it remains to be seen if it will be a long-term hit that goes on for many years, the bones are very-much there. You have a likely lead, an established producer in Spencer Hudnut who had a long-running hit in SEAL Team, and also the sort of story that viewers tend to flock to. That is without even getting into its franchise status.

So if we are to look at possible premiere dates for season 2, our general sentiment is simply that late September or early October makes the most sense. The series is going to remain in its Sunday-night timeslot, though you do have to be prepared for a little bit of schedule fluctuation. Marshals season 1 experienced that here and there due to overruns of the Masters and college basketball, but it could be amplified further due to the NFL, which will force some episodes to start later than 8:00 p.m. Eastern.

Hopefully, we will have a little bit more news about what Kayce’s future looks like in the months to come — we certainly would not mind some more Yellowstone alum turning up, though we would obviously want it to benefit the story as opposed to being an easy way to generate buzz.

What are you most eager to see at this point on Marshals season 2 when the show returns?
