The Hunting Wives season 2 premiere date: More hopeful news?

If you are like us, then you are probably wondering when exactly Netflix is going to bring The Hunting Wives season 2 to our screens. The first season proved to be a breakout hit after all, so why not try to capitalize on that momentum wherever you can?

Unfortunately, at the time of this writing there is still no exact news to share regarding a return date. Yet, we do at least know now that filming for the latest chapter is done and with that, it is another step in the right direction!

Speaking on this further as a part of an interview on The Tangle podcast, here is at least some of what actor Dermot Mulroney had to say on the subject:

“Yes, we have completed Season 2. I’m not certain or not able to tell you yet when that’s coming out … And even better news, is that Season 3 is in prep. I think they’ve got writers in the room, and they’re cooking up a third season already. And that should begin filming in the fall. So, that’s great news [in general] for all the fans of The Hunting Wives.”

We should note that at the time of this writing, Netflix has now officially ordered a third season of the show. However, it is fairly common for writers to start working on a new chapter in advance as a way to reduce time between seasons. If a third season does actually start filming this fall, it would greaten the possibility that this could become an annual event. Given how rare (or even impossible) this has proven to be with a lot of streaming shows out there, we do have to celebrate it almost whatever opportunity we can.
