American Horror Story season 13: Twisty the Clown returns?

For everyone who thought that American Horror Story season 13 was going to be just a straight-up sequel to season 3 Coven, think again.
According to a new report from Deadline, John Carroll Lynch has reunited with executive producer Ryan Murphy to play Twisty the Clown, the iconic character from season 4 a.k.a. Freak Show. Meanwhile, he will be joined by fellow alum Matt Fraser, who is bringing back Paul the Illustrated Seal. This suggests that there could be a major crossover element in the new season, though all of the finer parts of the story do very-much remain to be seen.

As for some new additions to the world, the aforementioned site also notes that Berto Colon is going to be coming on board as Joe the Doorman, who is employed by Jessica Lange’s mysterious character. Meanwhile, Mena Suvari is also going to be coming on board in a role that still remains under wraps.
In the end, our hope is that at some point this summer, we are going to be getting a little bit more in the way of information as to what lies ahead this season — even if Murphy has a tendency to keep some information under wraps. Our hope remains here that we will at least get a teaser in late summer, or something to get us more excited. The same goes for clarity on whether or not season 13 is the final one, which has not been confirmed as of yet by FX. It is just something that we do inevitably wonder about given that so many alumni are coming on board and from where we sit, it feels clear that the producers are really trying to make this show feel like some sort of culmination.
