FBI season 8 episode 22 (finale): OA’s desperate state

As many of you are more than likely aware at this point, the FBI season 8 finale is poised to arrive on CBS in just a few days. So what all can you expect to see?

Well, if you have not seen the synopsis for “Defector” already, it serves as a reminder that OA is in a really difficult position: “The theft of a bioweapon from an unwitting defector forces the team to work with an old foe to secure the lethal pathogen and prevent an outbreak in N.Y.C. Also, OA’s future on the team is put into question.” Some of this could be tied to some issues from the past, whereas another part may be linked to decisions that are incoming.

One way or another, let’s just say that this finale is going to leave a lot of people off in a really interesting spot. Zeeko Zaki indicated as much to TV Insider: “I hope the end of the episode is the audience’s worst nightmare… I’ll leave it at that.” Does that mean we’re getting a cliffhanger? There is a pretty good chance of that.

After all, remember the following here: FBI was actually renewed for a season 9 a long time ago. That means that the writers have had a long time to properly figure out how they want the season to end, and there are a lot of potential benefits that come along with that. The biggest thing we just have to hope is that this is something that facilitates discussion and in a way, could actually end up getting even more people talking about the future.
