‘NCIS’ season 11: A pre-production birthday celebration for Michael Weatherly, Rocky Carroll

There are a number of series both on CBS and other networks that are beginning their productions either yesterday or today, and “NCIS” is going to be kicking things off for season 11 very soon. By the end of next week, the ball is really going to be rolling on the show, which is still a little crazy given that there is still no official word on Cote de Pablo’s contract status.

However, yesterday was still a major cause for celebration courtesy of birthdays for both series stars Michael Weatherly and Rocky Carroll, who are seemingly soaking in the final days of their summer vacation. Weatherly shared a photo on Twitter alongside his family, and Carroll thanked a number of his fellow co-stars for their well-wishes, including Weatherly and Brian Dietzen.

When production does start on the new season, we anticipate there being a heavy veil of secrecy, especially surrounding some of the early episodes. The show has the difficult challenge of trying to connect us from point A to point B when it comes to what we saw with Gibbs at the end of the finale, and it also has to try and show us what Tony and Ziva were up to in their time away. (Yes, we know already that there are plenty of people out there begging for the answer to be “they got together finally.”)
