Survivor 50 episode 12: Cirie Fields, Rick Devens voted out

We knew entering Survivor 50 episode 12 that Rick Devens was in big trouble, and for good reason. Out of every person left in the game, he was easily one of the biggest threats. He has taken some big risks, played super-hard, and he risked everything to bump up the prize money.
Unfortunately, Rick’s exit was the most predictable thing about the first half of Wednesday night’s episode and it was hard to add any suspense to it. Every other player knew that keeping him around meant that there was a legitimately good chance that he could find another idol. The only alternate plan even mentioned was going after Rizo, but he had an idol and just like on season 49, everyone seemed to be inherently nervous to go after someone who had that kind of power.

It was following Devens’ emotional ouster that the drama in the game started to actually escalate a little bit. Tiffany became a target due in part to her having a great social game. Meanwhile, she was still after Rizo and for good reason. Tiffany won immunity in epic fashion, and of course that does change quite a bit as we start to move forward.
Unfortunately, this is where all eyes started to tilt in the direction of Cirie Fields. Almost even more than Devens, she would sweep a jury vote at the end. Her resume speaks for itself! A vote for her would be worthwhile based on her gameplay this season, but then you consider her resume as a living legend, the best player to never win the game.
This vote really came down to Cirie versus Aubry, and of course Cirie did her best to turn things around on Aubry as a target. This is really a battle of social games, and Rizo actually deserves most of the credit for swaying others. We’re said to lose Cirie at this point, and it’s hard not to be.
