The Hunting Party season 3: Is it renewed, canceled at NBC?

Is The Hunting Party season 3 going to happen at NBC? Or, is it more likely that the show ends up canceled? At this point, we understand the questions and then some.
First and foremost, though, we should just start off here by noting what is confirmed — namely, that nothing is at the time of this article. We are currently stuck waiting to see one way or another, but there are certainly causes for concern. Remember that the first season being available on Netflix has not helped the live ratings that much for season 2. It remains one of the least-watched NBC dramas in that measurement, but it has not been canceled as of yet a la Brilliant Minds. The Hunting Party, along with the flagship Law & Order, remain two of the network’s more prominent bubble shows.

So provided that we do get a season 3, we would have to prepare for something quite similar to what we got this time around. With that, we mean another 13-episode chapter that could serve as either a midseason entry or stopgap. It would represent NBC banking on the idea that the Melissa Roxburgh drama could find more viewers over time, and they may even opt to release season 2 on Netflix to better aid in that cause. One thing that the show does have going for it is a pretty great tendency to recruit guest stars; it does boost its chances on some level, but you still have to get the word out for people to watch.
With all of this in mind, this is where we turn things over to everyone out there: If you do want more of The Hunting Party, tell your friends and family to check it out! You have to create a situation here where the fandom is too overwhelming for NBC to ignore.
