Survivor 50 episode 11: Ozzy Lusth, Emily Flippen voted out
We had a feeling heading into Survivor 50 episode 11 that there was going to be some sort of further twist thrown into the game. Jonathan became the Power Broker and with that, could navigate between two separate groups and work in order to stir the pot.
Yet, was that the only twist that we saw tonight? Far from it. The moment that we saw the first round of votes being cast before 9:15 p.m. tonight, it was abundantly clear that something else was happening — and another curveball was getting thrown into the mix.

It became clear early within the first group that Rick Devens was going to use his idol on himself, so that was not something that really caused a lot of drama. Nobody else played theirs, and we ended up in a situation here where it was really between himself, Emily, and then Cirie. This was an attempt to get out one of the bigger players in the game … but did it work? No. Emily was taken out at this point, and she became the latest member of the jury. Cirie does live to fight another day.
As for the second group…
Well, the unfortunate news is that after playing really hard for most of the season and being super-smart, Ozzy made a huge mistake. He tanked the trust around Cirie, tried too hard to manage the jury, and alienated himself with some other players. He is now gone, which means that we have the first significant blow to Cirie’s overall game — despite her being in a little bit of jeopardy tonight. (We will say that Ozzy acted more dramatic after being voted out than almost anyone in recent memory — though we actually liked Ozzy telling him that he can’t really explain himself after the fact.)
At this point, we will say that the game is almost as unpredictable as it has ever been — though Rick Devens is clearly in more trouble than ever before.
