House of the Dragon season 3: New trailer coming — when?

For everyone out there eager to see more of House of the Dragon season 3, let’s just say you are going to get it sooner rather than later.

As confirmed by the folks over at HBO, a new trailer of the Game of Thrones prequel starring Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke will be coming out on Monday. This is the same preview that was shown off at CCXP Mexico this weekend, and it is slated to feature dragon battles, big character moments, and a whole lot more.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, the CCXP reveal came alongside a message from showrunner Ryan Condal where he slated the following:

“I’m very sad to not be joining you all there, but I’m back here in the U.K., putting the finishing touches on post-production in season three … This is a huge season. It’s the biggest we’ve made by any margin and by a wide measure. It is dark. It’s funny. It’s action-packed. It’s emotional. And, of course, it has lots and lots of dragons. This season demanded the very best of everybody that collaborated to make it together, and I can’t wait for the world to experience it.”

Is there a chance that this preview will be accompanied by a release date? Let’s just say that we would not be too shocked, given that House of the Dragon is slated to come back in June and it is really not that far away. Given the massive success of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms on HBO earlier this year, we do think that the anticipation is going to be higher than ever. We know that there will be larger battles here and certainly a bigger budget. Can Condal and the other producers get us to care as much for the characters? That’s something we are still waiting to figure out.
