The Capture season 3 episode 5 spoilers: Who is Simon?
In a little over 24 hours from now we will have a chance to dive head-first into The Capture season 3 episode 5 — and there is room for rejoicing, no? How can there not be, given just where we are in the show’s overall run at this point?
Basically, we are sitting two two thirds of the way into Carey’s latest attempt to put together the pieces. Undoubtedly, though, there is one question that we are seeing asked almost constantly from all over the internet: Is Simon a real person? Or, are we talking about a Person of Interest style AI construct? While we do not want to say as of yet that this is a sure thing, it feels likely. Look at the evidence so far or rather, just how topical the show tends to be. We honestly feel like one of the reasons for the mixed reviews so far this season is that it touches on important issues, including some that do make viewers uncomfortable. However, isn’t that also why it is important?

What has been so fun so far this season is that not only do we have a tinge of humor, but also so many different instances where finding out who to trust / not trust feels impossible. It is almost a verbal game of chess that Carey has to stay in front of. Figuring things out with Pierson is one part of the story for sure; yet, it is not the only part. We tend to think that episode 5 will create another big cliffhanger for the finale; all you can do is be prepared.

Carey and Pierson escape into a network of underground tunnels as Pierson’s past comes back to haunt him. Unarmed and with no back-up, Carey has no choice but to hear Pierson’s story. She is horrified by what Pierson has been through and the extent of the conspiracy that they are now both entangled in.
Simon’s real identity is revealed as Carey’s allies above ground piece together the truth about Pierson. Carey forges an uneasy alliance to bring down the forces truly responsible for Isaac Turner’s murder.
