Dancing with the Stars 35: Is Maura Higgins joining the cast?
Is Dancing with the Stars season 35 about to get another recent The Traitors contestant on board in Maura Higgins? Let’s just say that as of right now, there is a chance.
In a new post on her Instagram Stories, Higgins (who also maintains a role within the Love Island franchise) hinted that she has another TV gig coming soon, something that is based in America and also something that she’s wanted for a long time. Of course, she could not elaborate beyond that at present.

Now, we know the easy assumption to jump on is that ABC is courting her to be the next Bachelorette after the recent Taylor Frankie Paul debacle; Higgins has also played along with some of that speculation in the past. If there is a reason to doubt this is happening, we tend to think it is tied mostly to whether or not that is something that she has wanted for a long time. Could she, when that possibility was only made available a mere matter of weeks ago? This is where we think that DWTS makes a reasonable amount more sense.
After all, there is one more thing to consider at this point: Whether or not ABC is even looking to fix the Bachelor Nation franchise in the near future. While they did pull Paul’s season from the air, they have still not come out and confirmed officially that it is canceled. The franchise itself could be over, but that is something that could take months in order to figure out.
Personally, we’d take Maura for either show — but there’s no denying that her in the ballroom would make for a great time.
