After the big premiere today on Apple TV, we do not blame anyone eager to dive more into Your Friends & Neighbors season 2 episode 2. After all, this is a season that absolutely carries with it a vibe that is both familiar and new.

On the surface, we know already that Jon Hamm’s character of Andrew Cooper is attempting to do many of the same things he came to do in season 1. Namely, we’re talking here about thievery, taking from the rich and oblivious to suit his own needs. The problem moving forward is the arrival of a new threat, one who just happens to be played by James Marsden. What is he going to bring to the table? We do tend to think that is going to be a work in progress all season long.

For now, though, let’s just say that the focus for the show is going to be on Coop’s relationships. That is something that does not appear to be changing. To get a few more details now on what is ahead, be sure to check out the full Your Friends & Neighbors season 2 episode 2 synopsis below:

A surprise party for Tori goes awry, causing a rift in the Cooper family. Sam struggles with her alienation from her community.

The Sam story is absolutely one what we are not shocked about at all, mostly because it felt like it was bound to happen to her after what we saw in season 1. As for Coop trying to maintain things with his family, it really just speaks to his own sense of false confidence. He’s been reckless from the start in thinking that he can handle all of these different things that are in his life. The enjoyment of the show does, at least in part, come down to when / if all will fall apart.
