NCIS season 23 episode 15 sneak peek: What’s in the box?
In a matter of days, you are going to have a chance to dive into NCIS season 23 episode 15 — how better to prepare than a new sneak peek?
Well, if you head over to the link here right now, you can see some of what is coming about “Knick-Knack,” an installment that at its core is going to feature what is hopefully going to be a really epic treasure hunt. However, at the same time, there are going to be some pretty gnarly twists. After all, at one point we have a “what’s in the box?” kind of mystery that immediately reminds us of Se7en.

Elsewhere within this episode, we do at least know that Vance’s passing is going to at least be referenced. Even though it is clear that the powers-that-be are going to remain focused on some of the more procedural elements of this story, they have no plans to forget about the seismic shift that happened in the 500th episode. (We are still torn up about it.)
Is this story going to identify the replacement for Rocky Carroll’s character? We would personally be surprised, largely because there is a lot of time left and as a result of that, many opportunities to figure it out. It still feels to us more likely that we will see NCIS take their time in order to figure this out. They can, after all, come to a determination when it comes to who is in charge next either in the finale or in season 24. A lot could depend on whether the show wants to promote from within, or if they are going to bring someone else on for the role.
