Paradise season 3: EP on final season plans at Hulu

We have known for a while that Paradise season 3 was going to be the final one at Hulu. After all, this was what creator Dan Fogelman planned from the start, and also what he communicated over to star Sterling K. Brown.

Now that we’ve said all of this, here is where we do have to issue a reminder that shows do often change their plans. For example, Ted Lasso recently finished filming a season 4, who would’ve thought that a Big Little Lies season 3 could be coming? Things to often change over time.

With all of this being said, though, creator Dan Fogelman does still feel confident with his plan to end things with season 3. Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, here is what he had to say on the subject, plus also the “pressure” to try and keep it going:

There is always pressure. But I try to resist the pressure because I think it’s the right way to tell the story. Sterling feels similarly. I was very clear from the beginning that I had a three-season plan. I don’t imagine a world where I would shift that plan. And, frankly, what we do in Season 3 doesn’t leave room for it.

Remember that Fogelman and the entire Paradise team have already composed the third season and with that in mind, we have every reason to think that some awesome stuff is going to be coming that is decisive, answers a lot of questions, and delivers some big-time answers. We do remain relatively nervous about the idea of time-travel (or whatever you want to call it with quantum science). Yet, so many shows within the Fogelman universe are about characters. It is hard to imagine that this is going to change.
