Survivor 50 episode 6: Colby Donaldson, Genevieve Mushaluk voted out

Going into tonight’s epic two-hour Survivor 50 episode, we were promised great things. What we got was the Blood Moon twist and with that, the show’s first ever triple elimination.

Basically, you can think of this “merge” still as three different tribes of five. Ozzy found an advantage to go to Exile Island and took Rizo; by virtue of that, both of them ended up being safe. For everyone else, the three groups each had their own immunity challenge, and they would be also set to vote someone out after the fact.

So what happened with each group? Well, let’s just say that there is a lot to break down here.

Orange – Jonathan, Stephenie, Tiffany, Kamilla, and Chrissy. Steph managed to take it home and because she was the last one up there overall, she got to visit Applebee’s with the group. Unfortunately, that did not mean safety for the remaining players. This was probably the most interesting vote because it wasn’t as obvious; yet, it came down to Jonathan as the swing vote. He joined Chrissy and Steph, and Kamilla Karthigesu is out of the game … and she was mad at Jonathan.

Purple -Genevieve, Aubry, Christian, Devens, and Joe. Christian got this one! We do have to admit that this situation was all sorts of crummy for Genevieve, given that the numbers just weren’t on her side. She did what she could. For starters, she tried to get Christian to flip on Devens, but it didn’t work. She also played her Shot in the Dark, but it didn’t work. She is gone.

Blue – Cirie, Emily, Colby, Coach, and Dee. Dee won immunity and for Coach, he ends up losing in the same challenge that led to his demise in Tocantins. This was really between injured Colby and Coach, but Cirie managed to convince Emily and Dee to vote her way. Colby is out.

Despite the twist, weren’t a lot of these votes ultimately just predictable? Also, we kinda feel like all three of them should get the chance to play again.
